A Chorus Line:

"Tatiana Alvarez hits all the right notes. Both cheerfully and confident of her abilities while also staggeringly vulnerable, her performance - especially during her monologue leading up to "Mirror" proves what considerable acting chops she has as well. Add to it, Ms. Alvarez has a fairly prodigious voice which makes her solo far more than just a frame-work for an exquisite dance intermezzo wherein her moves are crisp, sultry, making this an absolute highlight of the show's second half." - Buckingtrends

"While every cast member is sturdy and often heart-tugging, most affecting is Tatiana Alvarez's Cassie, who jilted Zach in a failed bid for Hollywood stardom and is now desperate to jump-start her stalled career.  Alvarez showcases a feverish need to simply dance, that it's in Cassie's marrow is unleashed, along with her sensual joy and freedom when dancing, in the wordless number "The Music and the Mirror" - OC Register

"Tatiana Alvarez as riveting Cassie. "A Chorus Line" remains vital because it encapsulates not just dancers' lives, but all lives - full of frustration, dreams and the elemental desire to be seen and heard.  In a particularly beautiful moment, Cassie and Bennett stand-in, caught up in a momentary drama at the front of the stage, fade into silhouette as they turn to face the bigger story just beyond them" - Los Angeles Times

CABARET:

"Using a mild British accent, Alvarez is a tall, thin, engagingly long-limbed Sally, the Kit Kat Klub's star chanteuse. The character's arc is clear - at first boldly promiscuous and happy to be so, then kittenish and playful with Cliff, and, ultimately, viciously self-centered and myopic. Alvarez delivers superb vocal work throughout: She brings touches of Betty Boop to her first solo "Don't Tell Mama"; sultriness to "Mein Herr"; desperation and smiling through tears, in "Maybe This Time"; and, for the title song, forced gaiety but with obviously brittle bitterness just below the surface." - OC Register

"Although Sally may seem like nothing more than a promiscuous party girl, there is more to her than that and Alvarez is able to convey her character's hidden depths to the audience. Her Sally is brash, flirtatious, and underneath the bravado - innocent. While her early numbers were very likable, Alvarez really shined during her rendition of the title song - Cabaret" - The Orange County Review
